cramping after BFP?

Hi ladies,

I got my BFP yesterday. I've had these uterine cramps that sort of felt like a sore muscle, especially if I've laid on my stomach for a while. Definitely a different sensation from anything I felt pre-AF.

Has anyone else experienced this right after a BFP? Is it a bad sign? Just wondering...

it's not a bad sign, i think just about everyone feels cramps in the early weeks. say goodbye to laying on your stomach, though. those days are about to be over! and you are about to feel a whole lot of sensations, girl, that you have never felt before!

wishing you all the best, divine!

I remember sitting in the ER for like 3 hours listening to some kid puke because I was pg with my first and cramping. the doc asked if I was bleeding at all and when I said no he didn't even bother with an exam...just said...completely normal! LOL
In fact most women say they feel like AF is coming because of the heaviness and cramps with pregnancy.
I think unless they are severe or accompanied by bleeding you are fine!
congrats!

Yep, totally normal. I always feel like I'm about to start AF any minute. In fact, with my current pg I knew I was pregnant because I was cramping and I never cramp pre AF

I felt like AF was on her way until about 10 weeks. Its not a problem unless its so severe you cannot function, accompanied by chills or a fever and/or accompanied by bleeding. If you dont have those symptoms, it is 100% normal and HEALTHY... you are feeling your uterus getting ready to stretch out for the little one in there. In the next 6 weeks its going to go from the size of your fist to larger than a large grapefruit! So some cramping is obviously expected

Whew. Ok.

I don't have bleeding or chills or anything like that (knock on wood). Just wanted to make sure Baby M was ok.

Thanks ladies!

I had something similar. I think it's just the uterus starting to grow. Try not to worry!
