Remember the WA state case?

Thread Starter
I was thinking about it after reading that link about the 4 year old boy in Canada and remembered the 8 year old boy in Washington...I never did hear how that turned out...googled...and the whole court document is online now. Super heartbreaking, but good documentation with a lot of legal background stuff for anyone who follows circumcision-related legal cases.

Disgusted and speechless. Well I'm not totally speechless but I won't post what I'm really thinking.

Wow. How awful.

He actually tried to say it was an accident or self inflicted?

O.m.g.

I didn't really understand the legalese about what the jury decided. Was he convicted?

It appears he was indeed convicted, but then he appealed. This is the appeal, which upheld his conviction. So yes, he was convicted.

The case is very interesting, particularly at paragraph 33. This is the first case I know of where an appellate court has suggested that there are no excuses for circ at all.
