In need of some insight, please

Ok, cd 35 here. I am pretty sure I o'd on cd 19, which would make me 16dpo. I do not chart but keep very good track of my other signs. This month I had o pain (which I do get for 3 or 4 days every cycle) with ewcm, a high, soft, open cervix from cd15 to cd19. Followed by closed, dry, harder on cd20 and on. I count the day all the symptoms stop as 1dpo. I last tested with fmu with a frer on Thursday 14dpo with a clear bfn. What could be going on? How likely is is to have a lp longer than 14 days? Am I counting the right day as my 1dpo? I am having no cramps at all, no breast soreness, totaly nothing - which is not normal either way. Possible I just did not o this month at all? (Yes, I know a chart would help quite a bit here!) I'm lookin for anybody with some insight, pretty please?

You're right, a chart would've been good... oh well.

It's possible that you Od later than you thought you did. If that's the case, AF isn't really late - she'll just show up a few days later than expected.

Lots of women find out they're pregnant but have no symptoms; it's not abnormal at all. What kind of HPT was it? Some are more sensitive than others.

Good luck!!!!!!

My experience with Oing has been that I get all the signs with EWCM and then it happens a few days later. So it is possible you O'd later than you think.

im going to be no help at all. i think your theory on when you o'd sounds very plausible. of course, there's no way to know at this point! it is possible, i know you know this, but it is possible to have all the signs, even o pain(because it can happen before when gearing up, during, or after,) and not o. you might want to just keep testing (hopefully you've got ic's or a $tree store near you!) until you find out one way or the other! the good news is, you will eventually know, the bad news is, looks like you are going to have to wait on it at least a little bit.

Thank you ladies! The one thing that throws me off is my fertile signs stopped on cd20. I assumed I had o'd at that point. I guess I could have geared up & didn't. I do still check my cervix after o regularly and never caught fertile signs after that. I suppose time will tell. I just have been feeling good the past few weeks which is very abnormal for me. With pcos I spend most of my cycle feeling miserable.

I'm sorry you're having confusion! Charting really does help--I just started 2 cycles ago, and it's great to have that temp rise to back up my other signs. As for LP, not sure how long yours usually is, but it CAN be longer than 14 days. Mine is 16, (with the occasional, but rare 15 days) with O on day 11/12.

You could definitely be pregnant, though, and just haven't tested positive YET.

Best wishes to you!

You can look at my charts in my homepage... since I started charting, my LP has been 14, 17, 16, and 14 days. The 17-day LP may have been a chemical pregnancy, but I never got a BFP to confirm that. So, I haven't got it all figured out yet, but apparently, yes, LPs CAN be 14+ days with no pregnancy.

Unfortunately, with the variation I've had, I haven't figured out what's "normal"!

Thanks for your replies, I wish I waited to post, af is here. Well, light spotting anyway. I am either oing 2 days after I think or my lp is longer than 14 days. I might get a bbt this month and see what happens.

mommy- do you keep track of things on fertilityfriend.com? if you aren't crazy about the idea of temping, your cycles are pretty regular, so you can just do it from about cd7 thru 3 days after o, so like cd17 or so, you dont have to temp the whole month if you dont want to.

and ((hugs)) to you too.

Thanks! I have never tried temping, I'm not sure it would work. We still co-sleep with my youngest, and I can't say I get a consistant amount of sleep. Do you have to temp at the exact same time every day? I think sooner or later I'm gonna have to do it whether or not I want to.

well, theoretically, yes- you are supposed to take your temp at as close as possible (although the maximum ff says is 3 hours off) to the same time everyday, and after a solid block of sleep, at least 3 hours, preferably at least 6. if you sometimes get at least 3 hours of sleep before waking up at somewhat the same time, you could just temp on those days, and you still might have enough to see a pattern. if you miss a day or 2 or 3, it's ok. if you o in that window when you miss a few temps, you wont be able to pinpoint it, and ff wont give you official crosshairs, but we all can help you figure it out. if you combine it with cm/cp and opks, you can get a pretty good idea anyway. you could give it a try anyway, it might help, if not, nothing lost. ff has a free online course too that can help you get started.

I never temped or charted, merely kept an eye on symptoms like you. I thought I was knew what was going on b/c we'd gotten pregnant several times. Then my RE had me use ovulation prediction kits and it turned out I was O-ing about two days after when I thought I was. Just food for thought.
