The one with the dog right?

They still play that commercial. EVERY.DAY. I have the jingle in my head right now.

I never could figure out the purpose of the beagle dressed up for a birthday party. Thoughts???

Yes, i think she said the dog was Lori's dog

but the commercial with the people dressed as fruits and veg, they have made it like 3 times now - LOL

I never understood why they dressed the dog up like that - maybe I'll have the hubby ask the niece Tuesday at work

Looks like there will be no homebirth midwives available in Ithaca for two or three months next summer. One of them is on sabatical, one seems to be retiring and the third will be on vacation for a couple months. Sooooo that would be a lot of homebirths in upstate new york, since the ithaca midwives serve much of the southern tier and fingerlakes region...
There is a new midwife in the area named Merideth Geers. She is a licensed, certified midwife. My friend in Syracuse is using her.

What town are you in? Near Albany
How old are your kids? 7, 5, 3, and 2 months
How did you find MDC? Picked up "Mothering" magazine first over 15 years ago. Subscribed again and found the online community when pregnant with DS1.
Are you interested in meeting other MDC moms? Absolutely.
What's your favorite holistic place in your area? I'm new to the area, but I'd say Honest Weight Food Co-op or the Xs and Os Vegan Bakery in Troy.

Madison County. I'm not sure exactly where, but I know it's closer than Ithaca.

Madison is just east of Onondaga County (which Syracuse is in)

Thanks. It's been a year and I'm still not good at the geography here.

B and I were hiking in Thacher Park three weeks ago. It's AWESOME, and I got great photos. (And we stopped at Toll Gate Ice Cream afterward!)

For those of you in the Albany area, Pioneer--the Troy Community Food Co-op opened last week. (OK, I think it was last week...might have been the week before.) If Troy's not too much of a hike for you, stop by and support the new venture. (And Xs to Os Vegan Bakery isn't too far away.) The Food Co-op is open every day 8 am to 8 p.m. (I think). Xs to Ox is open to the public Wed-Sun.

Mmmm. Xs to Os. We had our "baby shower/not a baby shower" there. Gluten free vegan brownies (darn, now my tummy is grumbly!)

Just stumbled upon this...

I'm in Glens Falls.

I have an almost 3 year old daughter and a 9 month old son.

I first heard about MDC through my doula when I had my son.  It took me a little while to join, though, and even longer to become active with it (still figuring it out).

I would love to meet other MDC mommies in the area!  It's so hard to find like-minded women around here!

I've only been in Glens Falls for a few months, so I'm still figuring out the area.  I don't really know of many holistic places around here yet:(  I'd love suggestions if anyone knows of any!

How did I miss this?  And your due like NOW!!!  Congrats!  Im always interested to hear of mamas doing homebirths in our area.  And just meeting moms with non-maidstream thinking like myself.  Will you HS?
