Toddler's hair

Hi Mamas,

Any recommendations for hair clips/bands of some sort for a toddler? I'd prefer something other than plastic barrettes.

TIA!

How much hair does your LO have? DD has to have her hair in pgtails every day (iut's pretty long and an even length - otherwise it gets in her eyes).

We use the Goody ouchless clear type of bands and I do them really tightly so she can't pull thme out (she actually doesn't try and do this often!). I found barettes would be pulled out super quick and then were a choking hazard for us as she would stick them right in her mouth.

Now I do her hair while she is eating breakfast and is distracted. It's not super duper neat, but it works.

I would say that your only other option besides clips/bands is to cut it. DD's hair gets in her eyes so I have to put it in something, but I really want to just cut it. I have yet to take the plunge because I'm afraid I'll make her look awful. :-/

We use hair gel to keep my DD's hair out of her eyes. It's not as cute as pig tails, but it works. Her twin brother trys to pull any type of hair clip we use and this is the only safe solution I could come up with that didn't involve cutting her hair.
