Varicose Veins

Thread Starter
I am 15 wks. pregnant and experiencing uncomfortable varicose veins in my legs and vulvar variscosities as well.

I plan to begin wearing compression tights asap (waiting for them in the mail), I elevate my legs as much as possible, and I wear shoes with good support during the day.

Does anyone have any helpful tips to share regarding varicose veins? Are there particular HERBS, FOODS, EXERCISES, anything helpful that you can tell me about?

Thank you!!!

Vitamin E and Vitamin C are both supposed to be good, I was getting a distinctly painful spot behind my knee (I had to get my DH to check it) and it was a bulgy varicose vein. I started doing a lot of legs-up-the-wall poses (yoga) and would make sure to keep my legs very VERY elevated (like I'd lay on the floor with my legs at a 90degree angle up) for a few days quite regularly (and vit e 400 units 2x/day and c -maybe 3000+ more in bioflavinoids) and just generally trying to keep my feet up. I have been much more relaxed about doing the poses since the pain went away but I try to keep my feet up at least a little bit any time I sit and have stayed on the vitamins and I have no real pain to speak of and I don't think I have any additional veins coming up (it's been about a month now I'm sure).
