do I need to "prep" all-in-ones and one sizes?

Hi.

I cd'ed my dd part time, but for this baby I bought some more diapers, so excited!! I know I have to prep the indian pre-folds (wash many times in hot water? or boil?), but is there anything special I need to do to the all-in-one that I impulse bought? Or the one size with snaps? Besides wash them at least once before use, of course. Thank you, oh knowledgable ones

what kind of all in one is it? is the one size a pocket diaper? congrats on the soon-to-be born baby!

I've got one new mother ease bamboo terry one-size and one new bum genius all-in-one (organic cotton inside).

And thanks, I'm excited!!!

Hmm, I think pretty much all the absorbent components need pre-washing. So a pocket dipe wouldn't need it, but the insert might. I would say all fitted and AIOs should get washed, but how much might depend on the diaper.

With new diapers you will want to wash and dry them one time to seal any sewing holes. With prefolds the more you wash the more absorbant they become and with any hemp it takes about 7 washing to reach absorbancy. Hope that helps : )

Thank you! I think my prefolds are cotton, not hemp, but I will still wash them a few times (on hot, right?). And throw the all in one and the one size in for the last wash and the dryer. Love MDC!!!
