I'm having troubles with my 3 1/4 year old wanting to finally eat something for dinner/bedtime snack when we are finally in bed and going to sleep. I am constantly offering her food throughout the day (and she has full access to food in the house as well as at her Montessori school).
At bedtime DD, DH and I will lie down with her and read her a story and then when she asks she will nurse to sleep. On a good night, she goes to sleep quickly. But lately she'll stop nursing and ask for something to eat and then say after I get it, she doesn't want it. Then she does this without about a few more things. I have tried telling her to go get something to eat herself and she won't get up, I have tried keeping food at the bedside. Which leads me to believe she's not really hungry. I know she's tired because she's fighting to stay up.
I need some suggestions. I'm really at the end of my rope some nights with her and I end up yelling at her which I hate myself so much then. We live in a small 1 BR and have no option right now for her to have her own bed, etc. for at least another 6 months.
