When did morning sickness start for you???

Hi! I am only 4 weeks today and am starting to worry about when morning sickness will hit. With DD I think I was about 7 weeks along but I can't really remember so please tell me when your morning sickness hit so I can know what to expect. Also, what remedies worked for your morning sickness???

5dpo-8 weeks i would get full easier than normal and maybe feel a little sick after.

8 weeks - 10/12 weeks could not get ANYTHING to stay in my stomach (and the 10/12 weeks is dependent on if I was actually feeling better or not under just plain having some sort of sickness)

10/12 weeks - 17 weeks (well thats tomorrow) If I get up too early... like before 8 am. If I eat too quickly. If I get up from laying down too fast. If I get upset. If I smell something particularly gross... I still get sick. Otherwise I am fine!

My doctor highly recommends eating more protein and drinking water with lemon juice in it. All I have found to help in the strong times is to get it over with otherwise now if I stay in bed past 8am, get up slowly, eat slowly and avoid breathing through my nose I am doing pretty good.

Occasional queasiness from 4-6 weeks. One day shy of 6 weeks it hit all the way. Small frequent meals of protein and lots of liquids seem to help the most.

Mine hit around 6w. I'm now 12w 5d and it's starting to taper off. What triggers it the worst for me is missing a meal - when I start to get hungry for dinner I NEED to eat within 10-15 minutes or I'll feel sick for the rest of the night. As for what helps, I got some ginger gum (advertised to be for motion sickness/morning sickness) at the drug store and it seems to help a little bit. Also I sometimes get this really really bad taste in my mouth that always ended with my head in the toilet until I figured out that sucking/chewing/sipping on something flavorful but sugar free would stave it off (like chewing sugar free gum, nibbling on a cracker, sipping lemon water). Sugared stuff just seems to feed the bad taste though and make it worse.

5 weeks to 14ish weeks. I'm 7 right now. First of all, if it sounds good, I eat it, because it is likely to stay down. Staying hydrated will help though I'm really struggling with that this time around. I have a pair of seabands that I wear for about 15 hours a day - they help, some. Little bits of food throughout the day so that your stomach is never empty. Lemon drops have been helpful lately.

Mine hit around 6 weeks with all 3 pregnancies. Not much helped, not even zofran. This time around i got vitamin B6 shots from my naturopath, and that helped keep things a little better - i stopped vomiting multiple times a day by 18 weeks, much better than before!

Otherwise, if you have "normal" morning sickness, I think most folks say that making sure your tummy never gets empty is key.

Mine hit around 8 weeks, lasted till 12 weeks....took a break for a week or so then came back worse than ever for a bout a month before tapering off for good. Well, almost for good. I'm 23 weeks now.

ETA: also, some women don't get morning sickness at all, so please don't freak out if you don't get any nausea/vomiting/etc. My mom didn't have any ms with my brother, but was sick all 9 months with me. So the cliché is obviously true: every pregnancy is different.

Started for my at 5 weeks and ended around 15 weeks. Now i only feel icky if I wake too early!! Lemon drops helped, ginger ale, and eating lots of protein/grains. But really, it was something I had to just deal with for 10 weeks!!! Nothing got rid of MS!!!

With my first pregnancy, it started at five weeks, and almost nothing worked. My best bet was to keep a little something in my belly at all times. Right around 13 weeks, I woke up and it was gone. It never returned.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my second now, and I never experienced any nausea or morning sickness in the first trimester or otherwise. Maybe this pregnancy will be just as lucky for you!

Good luck!

It started at 6 weeks with both pregnancies. Pregnancy #1 it ended around 16 weeks. Pregnancy #2 it hasn't ended yet, but I'm only 13 weeks.

No natural remedies helped the first time. The only drug I took was phenergan and it didn't work that well.

Natural remedies didn't really help this time either. Unisom and B6 took the edge off enough for me to function and eat, but I quit it because I'm breastfeeding and I found out that Unisom while breastfeeding is contraindicated. Zofran has helped quite a bit, but I've had side-effects and sometimes still puke even while taking it.

6-7 weeks to 13-14 weeks both times.

About 7 weeks- 9 weeks. Luckily, no vomiting, just random nausea & eating little bits throughout the day helped (rice cakes, crackers). Ginger chews & peppermint tea helped a little.

Around 5 weeks each time-- the first pregnancy was worst; 2nd and 3rd about the same, so far. This time I have taken B6 per my MW's instructions and that has helped with daytime vomiting-- I really only throw up early or late in the day. I try to eat frequent meals and suck on peppermints when nauseous, or lemonade is sometimes helpful. If something doesn't taste "right" I stop eating it immediately. Mine usually goes to 12-14 weeks, and seems a little better now (11.5 weeks).

Started at 6w 3d, and I couldn't keep any food down w/o antinausea meds until 12 wks, and even then for a while I had to avoid food early in the morning and after 7pm at night. I did find that a little apple juice would stay down in the morning, and sometimes I could eat an apple. Things slowly got better and better until I was able to stuff myself w/o repercussions around week 19 or 20 and food started tasting soo good.

5+2 for me. Nothing worked but lemon juice in water helped with the horrible taste in my mouth and the hypersalivation. And ondansetron allowed me to function when I *really* needed to in the early stages. Less effective later on though.

With both pregnancies, mine didn't really kick in until between 8-9 weeks and lasted until about 13 weeks. I had some waves of nausea and aversions to smells before that, but nothing too bad. My nausea was pretty mild really - no actual vomiting, just feeling icky and very limited interest in foods for a while. Also very sensitive so scents.

I'm a little over 6 weeks and have been dealing with the nausea for about a week now. I've only gotten sick ones, but this nausea is AWFUL!
