APRIL meal plans!

Just finished mine for this week...

Monday, April 5: chicken & dumplings, speckled butter beans, cornbread
Tuesday, April 5: cheeseburgers, homemade baked fries
Wednesday, April 6: pot roast, mashed potatoes, purple hull peas, rolls
Thursday, April 7: breakfast burritos (egg, potatoes, bacon)
Friday, April 8: out with family
Saturday, April 9: homemade chicken nuggets, homemade mac & cheese, green beans

I'll meal plan/grocery shop again next Sunday.

Ok I did a little rearranging so here's my plan for the month:

5-dinner at my mom's
6-leftovers
7-sausage and cabbage
8-paella
9-pizza
10-terriyaki chicken, rice, veggie
11-quesadillas
12-dinner at my mom's
13-breakfast
14-lefotvers
15-sloppy joes, fries, green beans
16-pizza
17-cow pies, mashed potatoes, corn
18-pork roast, mashed potatoes, corn
19-dinner at my mom's
20-panini's, roasted potatoes, veggie
21-leftovers
22-hamburgers, fries
23-pizza
24-sausage potato salad, twice baked potatoes for the kids
25-fish, rice, veggie
26-dinner at my mom's
27-tacos
28-leftovers
29-chicken ceasar wraps, chicken nuggets and fries for the kids
30-pizza

Allyson, can you post your recipe for teriyaki chicken? Everyone here is tired of the recipe I've been using.

What are cow pies?

Cow pies are ground beef mixed with spices, onions and minute rice. Then made into patties, browned, topped with cream of mushroom soup and baked. It's a dish dh loves that I rarely make since we don't use cream soups much anymore.

For the terriyaki chicken, I just have some boneless skinless chicken tenders I'm going to marinate and then grill.

That sounds amazing...could you use regular rice instead? Maybe pre-cook it a bit?

I've never tried it but I did wonder the same thing. I actually keep having to bump this back because I keep forgetting to buy minute rice because I never use it anymore.

One or two day left over rice would probably work better. My freshly cooked rice is usually moist and sticky, but the left over rice is usually a bit dryer. I believe Minute Rice is basically pre-cooked rice that has been dryed.
