Our 9 mo lab/boxer mix had an engorged tick on her neck that I pulled off this morning. Unfortunately, there is a classic red ring around the bite and we live in a Lyme endemic area. So, I am treating with homeopathic Ledum 1M, and an appointment with the vet this Friday (earliest appt possible). We don't vaccinate for Lyme.
Does anyone have experience treating Lyme in dogs with homeopathy/herbs? I am comfortable using abx as well.
Also, we were going to try the homeopathic nosode for heartworm this year. Not using chemicals right now is very important, esp. since she is fighting Lyme disease. I found a protocol for heartworm that included homeopathic nosode plus black walnut that looked great. Anyone have opinions or experience with this or similar protocols?
