Our ODS is 4 - turned 4 back in January and even before then (this has been going on for at least 5 months) he's been acting this way: talking back, mocking DH and I, arguing left and right after we ask him to do such and such. We give him options, choices, talk things through, but he continues to react in such a negative manner.
Everything is fine at school. He's doing very well and enjoys being there. Talks about it daily. We actually have a parent/teacher conf this Friday so I will be covering some of this, but I would figure that if he's acting this way at school, we would've been notified of it already.

I recently gave birth to his baby brother so we've taken in to account that maybe he's 'acting out' on account of him being here but that really isn't the case. He ADORES his brother and has shown any jealous feelings of any kind .

Is he just being a typical 4 year old and this too shall pass?

Your BTDT's?? Thoughts? Suggestions? We try to practice GD as much as possible but there are seriously days that I want to throw in the towel and run down the street screaming!!!
