Separation anxiety, when does it end?

So when will my daughter stop being so clingy? She'll be 11 months in 3 days and she cannot see me leave the room, go to the bathroom, step inside for a second. She is ok if she's the one that travels away from me, but not if Im the one.

Now when I go grocery shopping I ALWAYS have to bring the baby carrier, because she'll get mad in her stroller and I have to put her in while I finish shopping. I walk to the store, so I use the basket to put the groceries.

I wear her a lot and Im always with her so I dont understand why there's so much separation anxiety. What has your journey with clinginess been like?

Hi Auraji - It might be better to post this on the toddler page. I think it'll last for a few more months.

My DD seems to just be starting this. Maybe if yours has started earlier it will end earlier, but maybe those with a toddler will have more answers.

My 10 mo old is the same way, and sometimes by the afternoon I feel so burnt out. I can't get anything done around the house (no matter if I wear her or not, I can't "reach" stuff right when I wear her) and it's just exhausting. And of course by evening, she is so tired (she won't nap either) that she really only wants me, DH totally freaks her out.

This too shall pass...deep breath LOL!
