I am thinking of ordering a latex mattress from Foam By Mail. They sent me this in regards to my question on the purity of their mattresses.

Anyone know if the ECO Institut can be trusted? I am really nervous about buying from them because their prices are so much cheaper then all of their competitors.

I have looked at Savvy Rest, Pure Rest, Sleep EZ, and Foam By Mail. This bed will be for my son, and it is the only bed we want to buy him. They also only offer a 10 year warranty, whereas the other companies offer a 20 year warranty.

i would not trust this company at all. They are not a good reputable company who only deals with manufacturers who understand and are committed to clean sleep. They do not even say on the page that it is all natural with no synthetics or chemicals. And even if you were told it was, there is no way to prove it. If it was, they would be advertising that. I would proceed with caution!

That is why I asked them for a purity certificate and they sent me one (I copied it above). Could their purity certificate be bogus? I am still nervous about them though - which probably means I shouldn't do it.

Are there any non-brand name latex bedding companies out there that are safe?

Talia Rose - I actually found your company and emailed you last week about a price quote. I would love to hear back from you.

i just realized mothering had a defunct e-mail for me! please e-mail again. i just updated it.
with this big move towards "green" there are many certifications out there that mean absolutely nothing. in fact, most of them! i could not open the certificate link you gave me so I just went to the website....

Costco is selling a 100% natural latex mattress right now on sale. I don't know about the purity certs and whatnot, but I do know that Costco has an amazingly good return policy. You might want to check into it. Prices are much less than Savvyrest, etc.

I bought a latex mattress for my son - as well as some other things for myself - from talia rose's store, and I highly recommend her. I would gladly pay a little more to know I was getting a quality product with awesome customer service.

Ok, plug over. I don't actually know anything about Foam By Mail, but I've bought two latex mattresses (after months of research) and I don't think I'd trust it. I would also have concerns about the mattress cover encasing the latex.
