Heavy feeling limbs

I don't know if this is normal or not. Every few weeks to months, all the sudden my arms and hands feel like they're made of molten lead and feel so heavy and dead. It gets hard to use them but it only lasts under an hour each time.

Is this normal?

Not really normal, I don't think. Sounds like it could be neurological. Perhaps you might mention it to your doctor. It could possibly be a symptom of a transient ischemic attack (small strokes that usually resolve quickly).

Yes, I don't want to scare you, but I agree with BellinghamCrunchy; it does sound neurological. My mom has a very mild course of MS, and this is how she describes her legs when she's tired. However, this symptom is not defining or diagnostic of MS.

I do think you should get this checked out asap.

I agree that it could be neurological. I have MS and my legs get this way when I'm tired or having a bad time.
Yours sounds faster than MS and maybe is something like transient ischemic attacks.
Take care

I agree with the PPs - I have MS and I have these experiences, but they last longer. I would probably check with an HCP.

Thanks, everyone. I've had them for years (I'm only 26) but never figured it was weird until recently. I really hope I'm just kinda weird. It really doesn't last terribly long. Usually if I'm in the car (not driving) or just don't move for awhile.
