Fruit and Veggie Wash?

Thread Starter
Do you use one or have a recipe to make a homemade one? I have a brand I am trying and it says that it reduces( some) pesticide residue by up to 97%. We try to buy as much organic as possible, but sometimes I just can't pass up the deals out there for conventional produce, so I am hoping the wash is actually making things safer to eat..? We have a family of 6 soon to be 7 so, like many families, budgeting is a must. Any feedback or experiences?
This is my first post BTW...

I make my own with lemon juice and baking soda. When I looked at the ingredients on a popular wash these were the main components. It is very cheap to make.

Here's a link with other recipes...
