Things you never thought you would be doing

Today I spent the better part of 15 minutes petting and singing to a plastic chicken who was having trouble sleeping . The poor dear. I'm sure it was hard to sleep buried in 20 stuffed animals with 3 blankets and two pillows on top of her.

What did you do recently that you never thought you would do?

I never thought I would be straining poo out of my bathtub on a weekly basis.

Really? It was a childhood goal of mine .

I never thought I'd sing made-up kid-specific words to the Star Trek: Voyager theme song over Skype to help an almost 2 year-old at home with daddy go to bed.
