For the past two nights I've been trying to read with a headlamp while they drift off to sleep as they've been taking about 45 minutes to get to sleep so there's been a lot of me giving them "the eye" and telling them to lay down and close their eyes. I get the biggest grins and smirks. Little monkeys .
That is SO CUTE!

Sometimes, I love the squirms. Yeserday, when we laid down for morning "nappy-nights" I shifted, and DS wanted to make sure (in his dead sleep : ) ) that I wasn't going anywhere, so ended up perpendicular, with his head on my tummy, facing me. A lovely cuddle and lovely to look at while it lasted!

On the 'selfish' side, I (usually) like that cosleeping (we lay down together for naps - the beginnings of naps, at least - as well as at nighttime) helps me to slow down and make sure I'm getting closer to enough rest, too.

And I love waking up next to him - he usually goes straight for the milk in the morning, but when I open my eyes, he unlatches, sits up and gives me the most wonderful smile. He's getting really good at kissies too - he'll bring his face up close to mine, very slowly, happy intense eyes, and...kissie!

Giggles when daddy kisses him and tickles. (Daddy has a beard.)
