S/O weaning off the bink (yes, the dreaded BINK)

So DS2 is only "allowed" to use his bink at home. Sometimes I try to limit the use to just before bed. But that doesnt usually work out all that well. Hes fine about leaving it at home. But when we are home, HE WANTS IT! Doesnt matter what time of the day it is. And he actually sucks on it. When he is just sitting on the couch reading a book or watching TV, he is not just letting it sit in his mouth, he is really sucking on it.

BG, poor DS1 was only BFed exclusivly for about 6 weeks, and then I threw in the BFing towel at 4 months completly. (Hard decision to make for me, and I was really mis/uninformed about BFing, thank you formula friendly society we live in!) So I feel like he may still have that "NEED" to suck. But I worry about his teeth. We brush everyday. But I still worry about his teeth.

Oh wise MDC mamas, how many of you out there let your kids use their binks for a while? My sister used hers til she was 4 (by 3 it was ONLY when she went to bed) And she was the one that DIDNT need braces.

Dd self-weaned at 3.5, ds still uses his at 3. Our dentist stated that most palate changes that are due to a pacifier self correct, and, so, I haven't worried about it. I notice that ds is using his alot less lately, and, I expect him to give it up on his own sometime soon.
