Finding a midwife for homebirth in Chambersburg, PA

I desperately want a UC homebirth. My DP is NOT on board whatsoever. He doesn't even really like the idea of a homebirth with a midwife, even though we live five blocks from the Chambersburg Hospital. I have no insurance and we're not exactly well off (that's putting it mildly), so can anyone recommend a midwife in my area that will allow us to make payments or something like that?

To be honest, with the lack of support I'm getting from my DP, I'm seriously tempted to just not tell him when I'm in labor, but I don't want to cause trouble in our relationship over it. I don't know how we'd afford a midwife, but I'm terrified of giving birth in a hospital.

Sorry you're not getting the birth you want, mama.

Wish I could personally recommend a MW; although I did have a home birth in PA with my son, it wasn't really near Chambersburg. If you want, I can PM you her contact info and you could ask her for a recommendation in your area. Let me know!

Yeah, if you don't mind. I'm sure it can't hurt. Thank you

Hi--I just saw this message. I don't know when you due date is (or was!), but I can recommend an excellent hospital affiliated midwife who can introduce you to a (I hear, excellent) homebirth midwife.

Hi there,

I think that I might have to move to the area in a few months, and was interested in this! Many thanks!!

I'm curious about midwives in Chambersburg that do homebirths as well...

I know this is a really old post, but could you PM me the info on the both midwives you were referring to that are in the Chambersburg Pa area. You mentioned one that is affiliated with the hospital and one that does homebirths. Thanks
