we recently bought "how i was adopted" by joanna cole
i like it. it is pretty simple and short. it's a little girl talking about how she was adopted as a baby. grew in another woman's uterus; her parents wanted a child; they got a phone call and then went to get her and bring her home. it seems generic enough that alot of infant adoption families could relate to it. i wish it said more about the birthmom than "another woman's uterus" or whatever (marvel wants to talk about her birthmom alot anytime we talk abouts her being adopted) but i liked it regardless. marvel likes it as well. she's 3 1/2 and this seems right on her level. i know there were like a million of us on this board who adopted babies the year marvel was born so they are all around that age now.
