Well we got word from hubby's work. They want to go into arbitration. But now hubby wants to just find a new job. Going back there would prob be uncomfortable with his boss. But my question: is him choosing not to go into arbitration be considered as quitting even though they fired him (in writing) 3 weeks ago? Would DSHS cancel our benefits if they considered it as quitting? What about trying to get unemployment? Hubby's union rep prob would help us out with notes explaining what happened. TIA for your help.

I wish I had advice for you, is contacting a lawyer for the freebie consult an option?|

Pretty sure that's illegal, I think they have to make the funds available within 5 days of deposit. Is it the bank or the employer thats holding it up?|
April was pretty good to me: I had my baby with only a four hour labor and about 15-30 minute pushing stage. He's a perfect of a baby as he could be!
![]() We went through some major stress earlier in the month when we got notice we had to be out of the house before April 24 (due date April 22, baby born on April 26). We worked something out and we now have until the end of May, but it's still stressful to think about moving with four kids, one being a newborn. However, we will make it work somehow. I hope May is OK to everyone! |
Babies are always a nice thing to get
The good news last night I was able to order the rear baskets for my bike so we'll be able to carry 3 paper bags worth of groceries (were car free) and it killed me but I bought a kick @ss chain lock for my bike but the price, ugh! My bike is not a cheap one so its worth it.
sigh... chants to self... its still cheaper then owning a car.. its still cheaper then owning a car.. wish there was someone I could just give gas money to take us but its 170 miles and 2 nights away so no go.
I even managed to order a new bike for dd's 4th birthday (New! Not from the thrift store but NEW!
). Its been wonderful the past month to not be under such financial strain.

And this morning I heard shooting again..... there was a drive by a week ago and I've been hearing more shooting lately in what looks for all appearances like a quiet neighborhood....
You are definitly not alone! I think the broke people are starting to over populate the well off folks!

Hi mamas.. I've been inactive on MDC because I'm in the middle of finals and moving! We are moving THIS WEEKEND! I can't wait to get out of my MIL's house
![]() DH is working out of town, so he's not going to be here to drive the truck or help load the truck, but my MIL's church people are helping us. |

Oh my gosh- I might have more than $20/month above the bare minimum again! How nice would that be!?
