I think I've eaten 5 pounds of Easter candy...my accountability thread

That's all I wanted to say. I just needed to write it down, in a public place so I can hold myself accountable for this. Yes...I have eaten tons and tons and tons of easter candy, carrot cake, coffee cake, scalloped potatoes... I woke up this morning with the full intention of starting back up with zero sugar at all today, and I lasted until 11am, when I couldn't stop myself from eating that damn pink peep. Thanks for letting me vent. Hopefully I've gotten the sugar binge out of my system and I'll have more self control for the rest of the day.

I'm sure you're not alone. I did that last easter and this easter was determined to resist!

Lol DS1 generously shared his candy with me too. Worse still it was so hot today I sent DH out to buy me ice cream! We hadn't brought any in the house since Nov, so much for that.

The rest of the day did not go much better! GAH!!!! It's like as soon as I start with the sugar, I crave it for the rest of the day. Not to mention I'm about to start my period!!!! I am not going to eat any easter candy tomorrow!!!! I will report back and let you know how I do

I had a 3 day binge. I had cake, ice cream, pie, chocolate covered strawberries, nachos, soda, all you can eat buffet breakfast etc. It was bad!!! The scale was actually kind and I only gained 1/2 a pound but yesterday was really hard in regards to getting back on track and not eating bad.

None so far!!! I made myself some oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast and I'm about to have a snack of raw veggies with some hummus. I have a nursing school entrance exam today that is going to take several hours, so I think I may just be able to avoid the candy today!! Yay!!! And I am going to bring most of it to my mom at her work tomorrow to get it out of my house. I think I may have beaten this! But...the day is not over yet. I'll check back in

I hate how addictive sugar is. I'm struggling, as I really want to be healthier and drop some more pounds! As soon as I eat any sugar, I'm on a runaway train towards a huge carb binge!

Good luck today, I'm also trying desparately to resist the easter chocolate. I had dh put it into the car so it wasn't staring me in the face.

Ooooh, I should put it in the car, too...then it will get all melty and gross and I won't even be half as tempted by it!!!

I did it!!! I had a really weak moment, and made myself a coconut milk smoothie with some frozen strawberries and real vanilla!

If you're going to melt it in your car, will your mom really want it?!?! Throw it out! I throw out things that are overly tempting for me. Or they go immediately to DH's work.

We received really nice good quality dark chocolate this year, so I don't want to throw it in the garbage. It's definitely not hot enough where I live yet to melt chocolate though! (I wish! )

Today is harder. After 3 or 4 days these feeling subside, so I just need to stick it out.

I did it! Last night I prowled around the house like a strung out junkie, smelling my kids easter candy, waging an internal war with myself. I distracted myself, talked to a friend, and then laid down in bed with a good book. It felt so good to not give in!
