fingertips are peeling

I just noticed that the tips of 3 of DS's fingers are peeling - his thumb, middle finger, & ring finger - all on his right hand. He's not a finger/thumb sucker. I don't put lotion on his hands b/c he would eat it.

Anybody know if this is normal or if something is wrong? Did he just outgrow his old skin & it's time for new stuff!?!

Subscribing as I noticed the same thing with my 10 m.o. this week.....it seems to start under his nails and work its way around his fingertips.

could they have exma (sp) i get it and my fingers peel.

a fungal infection can make fingers peel too

Hmmm . . . DS did have eczema, but it is pretty much gone now. Maybe this is related. I'll mention it at his next WC check-up, but that's not for a couple weeks. For now, I guess I'll just keep an eye on it.

How would I know if it is a fungal infection?
