EDC/LMP/Conception Date rant - Page 2

A 9 week ultrasound isnt even accurate to +/-2 days!!
It's great for getting the right week - 4-5 days accuracy is great!

Im not anti ultrasound, but for goodness sake, you have to use them with the parameters they come with. Many computerized report systems give the plus/minus right on the report.

I do love my charts - along the right side, there's a grid. I have spaces for dates: lmp, last normal period, conception, neg test, pos test, pelvic exam estimate, first Doppler heart beat, movement, and three ultrasound dates. You put in all the info you have and it makes s little cloud of dates.

Tell me about it!  I received a "sorry letter" from the first of four midwife offices last week to let me know that they are full for "the month of my due date". But they went by my LMP, and came up with Nov 28th, while my ovulation date gives me Dec 1st... so technically, I lost out on the chance with that practice because of three days-- and inaccurate dating.
