Teeth?

Emma has a tooth. It is not "out" yet, but I can see white bumps, and feel the ridges of the tooth when I put my finger on her gums.
It seems a little strange to be teething already. Anyone else?

Until my first was born, I thought teeth didn't come until 6 months or so. However, both my older kids had teeth coming through at about 3-4 months. Micah (10 weeks - born 1/23) has had a bump at his bottom right gum for a week or two, and it's getting bigger, and he's drooling & I can tell it bothers him (at least it appears that way), but I haven't seen the white yet.

My mom said I had my teeth early, and I've talked to many moms who've had the same experience, including a friend whose baby was born WITH a tooth in! Crazy, right?

Hope it's not bothering your LO too much!

Wowie! Ds and dd1 didn't get teeth until they were about a year old. I thought ds was going to be toothless at his birthday party. Dd2 could be different of course, but I'd be super surprised to see them so soon!

We get teeth early here too

My son had two teeth by 4 months and that started a long stint of hurting for him, we finally started using Tylenol when all homeopathic etc options weren't working for him... good luck!

That is interesting. Olivia has been showing signs of teething but I didn't think they would have teeth that early. Maybe she will be an early teether as well. I hope she will be fine with just homeopathic remedies when it is happening.

I just got a wooden teether from Eco Tot Toys on etsy. It's a little sad that I'm excited to get to use it!

Right now the kid is a drool machine, but no sign of teeth.

Marissa is drooling a lot too, but no teeth close yet. My oldest was 9 months with his first, and my second 6.5 months. She had one tooth for a month, then the next month got 7 more, so 8 teeth at 8.5 months! NOT fun for any of us, poor kid!

Holly also a drool machine. I think I can see little white lines, but I'd be shocked if anything happened soon... IIRC, Robin teethed for about 3 months before her first tooth cut (at 6 months old)!

Early teeth are definitely possible! I got my first at 17 weeks and I know two people who have had babies born with teeth.

ds got his first tooth the day he turned 5 months. I'll never forget it, he rolled over (which he had been doing), sat up on his own (1st time), and then smiled, and there was a tooth on the bottom! It was the cutest thing! So, I'm thinking since he got his teeth fairly early, dd will follow suit. She is a drool machine, too, and I can see the ridge still, although it's not out yet.
