Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. This book has always been an absoulute favourite of mine and i always seem to read it when i'm feeling low.

The Norton Anthology of Poetry. I think poetry would probably be better for constant reading and rereading and mulling over than a novel - you'd be more likely to keep getting new things out of it.

redhookmom-Your kids baby books is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. Something that means alot to you. I think it is beautiful that they were the first thing you thought of.
