Sheesh! we were still on the feb thread - bunch of slackers!

this wind is making me crazy!

Heh, funny. I thought someone mentioned a March thread a while back, but I guess we were all too lazy to start one... LOL

In case you missed it:

So, any takers for a stuffed bag of 3T girly clothes & shoes?
Or a bag of 2T girly clothes?

If not, let me know soon and I will pull out the pg stuff and pass it along on Freecycle or something.

I haven't gone through the 8 boxes of 0-24 month stuff yet, but will let you all know when I have.

I need a portable black hole...

Yeah, I don't need girl clothes that size either, sorry!

The wind is driving me crazy, though! I stopped to get gas this evening and 'bout froze while standing there waiting! Not to mention all my allergies are flairing up!
You'd think I'd need that size but I'm actually good, I didn't start getting rid of stuff until 4 so I'm set on 3's.

The wind is nuts and I feel like life is out to get me. Nothing big or bad just 1000 little things that constantly seem to be adding up.

If H could wear size 3 then I'd take them, but she's wearing size 4 and 5 now. I thought she was going to be little and petite like me, but I think now it's looking like she got dh's height.

I hear ya on the wind. It's like it just adds to all the chaos already going on. Makes you feel like your in a whirlwind. When we went up to the mountains the other day the wind was blowing crazy hard and all around, not just one direction. When we came home I had so many tangles in my hair it took me forever to brush it out! I mean forever. And I lost a handful of hair because of it too.

Adam had a convention in Santa Fe this morning, so we all rode up on the rail runner for the morning. It is way colder and windier there, so I won't complain about the wind here for awhile. lol

Blue, I don't need those sizes, but thanks.
My girls have both worn out their pants this year. Ever single pair has a hole in one or both knees! I've patched so many knees (some of them twice!) this winter. What the heck is going on?
Rach welcome to growing children LOL. E has destroyed nearly every pair of pants in his current size this year.

I totally didn't see this thread, so I made a thread about playmates for DD. Anyway, I haven't been 'round these parts in quite awhile. Does everyone meet up still?

I looove that it has been warm outside....could do without the wind, but ehh, it's ABQ, right?

Blue Lotus - DD is wearing an 18mo right now, and I'll check with DP if he thinks we should stock up on some bigger-sized clothes or not.

The wind up where I live, aka the dust bowl, was bad for a few days. It ruined our swingset. . If I go down the road (by car) to check the mail, I end up swallowing dirt when I get out for 20 whole seconds.

Drummers wife, I have a rough idea about where you live and I can't even imagine, I think it's bad here, but you have it way worse. I am trying to look at it as cheap microderm abrasion

Welcome Rebecca, we do try to get together still, between the weather and school we haven't been doing much this winter but now that it's warmer I think we will start venturing out more. I saw your other thread, we are an all ages group ranging from still cooking to about 10.

It does get super bad up here. There are trucks that come around weekly to 'water' the dirt roads - but as fast as it dries, I'm not sure it makes much of a difference... except that on those days the kids get off the bus and get caked with mud on the walk home.

Best of both worlds eh?

Hi guys!

I hear you on the wind, it makes an otherwise beautiful day just ugly. We are all itching to get outside in the sun but we don't like tasting dirt all day.

We went to the zoo on Friday and had so much fun, it was the perfect temp and the outing was much needed after a stressfull week (extended family stuff going on which made the whole wk kind of sad and depressing).

There are so many things I want to do this summer, once ds1 is out of school. What do you guys have planned?

Hopefully I can meet you guys soon, it's getting easier for me now that my youngest is 18 months. I don't know about you guys but getting out w/all 3 is a challenge, especially if one or more of them are cranky that day.

I have 2 that like to stay home and 1 that loves to be out doing things (like me, I NEED to get out of the house in order to stay sane) so it's difficult to meet all of their needs as well as mine. So I'm hoping that we will be able to get out this summer and have fun together.

Happy Spring everyone!

Welcome, Kothi!

I'm sure, when the wind settles down a bit, there will probably be some park playgroups soon. Dd and I are about to head out on a long trip. Maybe we'll get to meet some of you new mamas when we get back!

Don't know how often I'll be online while we're gone. Have a great April everybody!

Hi all!

Just wanted to introduce myself and ask a question.

My family (me, hubby, our 2 1/2 year old daughter, and baby due in May) moved to Rio Rancho last month from the northern VA/DC area. Still getting used to things but overall settling in ok. I'm trying to find a pediatrician and am not having the best of luck. Do you guys have anyone you can recommend? And if you guys ever do playdates, I'd love to join you sometime too!

Welcome, I'm not familiar with any peds near RR. We are east coast transplants also, the change can be challenging at times.
