Pests

Okay, let me start by saying I cannot move. It's not an option I don't have the money.

We have roaches in our apartment complex. They "spray" once a month (which I saw them do and all they did was go to the bathroom and kitchen). They sprayed last Thursday and I have seen two roaches in my bathroom since then. They spray the whole complex. What are some other options to get rid of them. I have a 5month dd and want it to be safe for her whatever I use.

Also, when we moved in the apartment there were no signs of roaches and they didn't tell us until after we signed the lease that they spray the apartments. I'm freaked out so bad. They are disgusting and I know they aren't good for you.

Brings back memories of our first condo.Did not find out till after we moved in that they were spraying the units for roaches. Besides spray they also used bait.I would recommend bait. Not sure if boric acid works on the roaches, but that can be bought at dollar stores. You can add it to cracks,or create a bait by mixing it with jelly.Roach bait is your best bet.Get behind electrical lines, and cabnits. Also under the fridge and dishwasher.

There are plenty of online dyi web pages that will sell you all the stuff that companies use. You can buy stuff that way,or atleast look online for the MSDS on the products the company is using.Call the company to ask for a product list.

My dd was around 2 at the time, and I had just gotten pregnant.I was livid about pesticides, and refused to let them in until they had police coming to force their way in.They also had the condo lawyer ready to charge me $$$$ for my refusal. It sucked having no choice about the exposure.I watched where they sprayed, and wiped up what I could after they left.
