DH's friend has bags of raw alpaca wool and his cousin has sheep's, willing to sell both for a great price. I'm knitting now, want to spin someday. This stuff needs to be carded and spun. I can't buy $700 worth of equipment anytime soon I know that. Should I buy some and send it to a mill, get hand carders and drop spindle and such, pass it up for now and stick with cheap commercial wool, or what?
