How much pukeing is to much?

For the last two hours my 23 mo has been puking. He just puked for the 9th time in a little over 2 hours. Should this worry me? He is now only puking up the water he drank after the last puke. There is nothing else in his system. Puke, sleep, puke, sleep and it's way before bedtime. He even fell asleep while I was holding him over the bathtub durring a false alarm.

When should I start worrying?

My 23 month just got over this - it's not fun for our little guys

My guy was throwing up every 20 min's - 1/2 hour for about 8 hours, then it spread out to every couple of hours, then his last one was about 11 hours after he started. He started at 11 pm so he would just vomit then go back to sleep too - it takes a lot out of them.

I referred to Dr Sears website. One thing he mentions is giving the stomach some rest during the most active vomiting stage b/c everything will come back up. I tried little bits of water when he would ask for it, but I didn't push it until the worst of it was over. He was then willing to nurse a little by that point too - not much stayed down, but between nursing/water sips I was able to keep him hydrated enough.

Look for signs of dehydration (listed on the website) and have lot's of towels and changes of clothes ready.

I hope it passes quickly and no one else gets it

That's good to know. Thanks. The puking has slowed down some but omg poor baby! I hope my hubby and I don't catch this one. It seem pretty miserable to have.
