Polio

Okay, so we are moving to Belgium and the IPV is a required vax there (parents have been put in prison for not vaxing their children for this one--the only required vax in that country--NO Exemptions allowed). Here, we have religious exemption and we stay out of the mainstream so it isn't a big deal. I'm seriously contemplating giving my children the IPV, not so much for some immunity boost (I really, really don't believe in the efficacy of vaccines or that vaccines are good for human evolution). . .but because my children and my family could have problems I'd like to avoid. However, how will this affect our exemption status? What are the risks involved with the IPV (I've searched and haven't found a lot of information)?

Are you military? For the military I think it would affect your exemption, but dependents may not be subject to the vax requirement.

In any case, are the jailed parents citizens or visitors? Often things are required of citizens that are not required of visitors.
