Does anyone else find this very annoying? Especially the games on the computers right at a 3 year old's level.

I hate to say it but honestly yes!! I find it annoying that they are there. I also find that it super annoying that story time at our local library includes a video.

Yes, I do find it annoying. I'm not sure what the reasoning is; maybe a librarian can chime in. If it's to lure kids into the library so they'll look at books later, I don't think it works well. I think it's self-defeating.

Most libraries these days are considered media centers so there's that. However, videos during storytime? That is unbelievable to me. Wow.

It's because not everyone has a computer, so it's a way for children to play on a computer when their family doesn't own one. Most of the games at my library are educational.

It's also a form of early literacy. Reading is reading, and it's another way to get a child to read.

I really don't understand the videos during storytime, though.

The movie thing amazes me and is the reason I wouldn't take my son. Here is the link from the story time
