an amaaaazing movie...

for adults and older children.

i think it might be too scary for a v. sensitive 7 year old.

it is made by teh same director as march of the penguins.

dd 7 and i loved it. and it really is an extraordinary movie so refreshingly different than the usual mainstream movie we get.

it is so sweet, so tender, so incredibly moving.

amazing cinematography. with only two characters.

friendship between a girl and a fox.

however there is blood, poisoning and many concepts used that you might not want to introduce to your child.

i would not call it a children's movie.

Dh and I started watching it (previewing for the kids) and had to stop. Not because of anything scary, though. It was just so dang slow and boring. My boys would never have sat through it.

I don't know...my boys watch old movies pretty much exclusively. They like Singin' in the Rain, The Court Jester (Danny Kaye), That Darn Cat, Some Like it Hot and all the swashbuckling Errol Flynn they can get their hands on. I think it's more that they appreciate a plot that moves along.

aaaaaah i see what you are saying. yeah its kinda a philosophical movie.

would they enjoy milo and otis? that one moves along a little more faster and more things are happening.
