Can we start a thread? Just started WW for the second time and would love some extra support and encouragement! Anybody out there???
I am doing WW on my own from materials from 2004. I am doing the Filling Foods/Core version. I started officially a little over a week ago.

I have been doing ww for about 7 weeks now. Have lost 11 lbs. Have gone a little off in the last 2 weeks - haven't been good about recording everything. Have 40 more lbs to go.

Have just joined last Thursday! I'm very excited. There were a few people in my meeting who had lost really big amounts and that's so motivating!

Doing it four months now with excellent results. I do it totally online and I really enjoy it. 3 more pounds to go and I will have reached my target.

Started 2 weeks ago on my own, down 3.5ish lbs (it was that before a girls' night out on Saturday, with alcohol ).

I need to record my intake, not recording leads to issues.

Down 9.6 pounds in 26 days. Was 9.8 as of yesterday but I had a .2 gain today. The d*mn scale is lying! Liar liar pants on fire.

Congrats rootzdawta and everybody!

Count me in too - Wednesday's weight in will be 4 weeks for me. I'm down about 10 lbs and feeling good, despite weaning to nursing morning and night only in the last month. I'm generally careful about measuring and recording, but it's easy to slide. I give myself one free day a week, but one free day turns into one free night before, one free weekend. So I'm trying to make good choices and listen to my body. The difference between full and overfull is tough.

Let you know on Wednesday how the week's gone!

Right there with you, KatWrangler! Wish the scale was lying. But no it's not. I'm up 0.6 lbs since last week. Which is not terrible since I was down 4.4 last week. That's an unsustainable loss. But going up is discouraging. So this week I'm going to be careful and good. Despite a friend's wedding Saturday.

Two goals this week (apart from the obvious of tracking and sticking to the plan):
- Do my "Healthy Guidelines" everyday. I always miss the oil points. They might be good for me. So I'll pour a little olive oil over greens and get veggies too. Both are good. And some more dairy.
- Get out and move more, cardio and some exercises at home. Maybe not every day, but I'll try.

Total loss: 9.8 lbs. Yeah, right?

Hi! I just started again on Monday (I've had a few attempts, let's say). Tonight will be my third successful day, staying within my points range!!!!

I'm glad to read all of the success here - this is motivating! My joke is that I can't call it baby weight anymore, since my babies are in/starting school now...and it's sort of funny until I realize it's the truth.

Here's a question for the group: I'm doing the old "at home" program from 2002, with 'Winning Points', and I know there's a newer thing with a weekly amount of 35 points you get to spend on anything -- do you have to use that? Is there a good reason (i.e., maintain increased metabolic rate? by not cutting too much too fast??) for it?

Thanks!

I rarely use the 35 points. Just like I don't use any extra exercise points.

I didn't track last week. Went and stayed with my parents for 4 days. I weighed in today and lost 0.4 pounds. At least I lost.

My husband says I'm looking really good. I've lost about 13.5 pounds in about that many weeks. 6.5 pounds to goal.

Thanks! I haven't been tracking my exercise points these last few days, either. I'm walking in the woods with preschoolers, so it's more of a slow amble than any 'real' exercise, so I don't figure it counts for many points. If you stop every ten feet to inspect moss/tree stumps/interesting leaves, then it probably isn't raising my heart rate by much. I need to figure out a better way to build in exercise for me --- I have been finding more and more parents who work out after their kids go to bed. Honestly, by 8pm, I am completely whipped & find it hard to do much more than fold one more basket of laundry. Perhaps that needs to change...

I'm glad your dh said you're looking good -- that is really a great motivator!!

Congratulations, everyone!

I had my first weigh in and I lost almost six pounds I am mentally preparing myself to lose more like 1.5 or 2 next week but mostly I'm just so darn proud that I stuck to it. I went to the movies, went out to eat, and got caught out without any food and had to do fast food (never. again.) and I still hung in there and didn't use any of that as an excuse. YAY.

I have done WW in the past and I usually do end up using some of my Flex (extra 35) Points. Usually, if I have lunch with my family on Sunday I can't really guess how many points are in whatever my mom has cooked (and she will TOTALLY lie if you ask), so I just assume it scooped up some of my Flex. Other times, I'll decide to splurge on wine or something. It worked well and I still lost.

My problem was not going to meetings when I'd had an off week. Usually that turned into not going at all and then eventually just losing track and giving up. This time I have promised myself I'll go no matter what.

everyone!!! You guys are doing great!

I had a good week too! Yay! I walked five out of seven days and went to a mtg Sat am. I was down 3.8! WOOHOO!

This past week I used about half of my 35 flex points. It's so awesome that they are integrated into the plan. Using them is the only way I can avoid deprivation!

Hope everyone has an awesome week!!!

Down 5lbs in three weeks. My period is due tomorrow, so I'm actually shocked that I lost this week!

Everyone is doing awesome!

May I join you????

Just signed up online today & will hit my 1st meeting sometime this week. Have a long history of up & down on the scale...

I don't know how to get exercise in...I am so tired from chasing a 2.5 year old & caring for a 2.5 mos old. We bought an elliptical that should be here this week & I am digging around for my old tae bo dvd.

How impt is it to use the extra points for a nursing mom? I know my appetite wants them but I really had a hard time losing weight while nursing dd1, ended up pregnant w/ dd2 & nursing dd1 most of the pregnancy. I feel like crap, none of my clothes fit & I could really use a nice jumpstart to my weightloss!!!!

When my baby was still that young, I wasn't able to get any exercise in aside from really long walks with the kids in the stroller. It's the reason I bought a good double stroller. After he hit a year and was consistently sleeping through the night, I started getting up at 5 and that's when I exercise.

I'm still nursing but not a lot (just at bedtimes or upon waking) but I need to use all my points--every last one or I will not lose an ounce. I work out pretty hard though and the theory is that if you don't eat enough calories, you won't lose weight. And that was true for me. I tried it both ways though . . . not eating my extra points, eating half of them, eating all of them. Eating all of them is way more fun and effective!

Oh, and I couldn't find the time to go to any meetings so I switched to the online only program with excellent results.

Welcome!! Is this your first time using WW? I think you should definitely use the extra nursing points. My SIL just joined and decided to use 5 nursing points instead of 10 (baby is 10 months but no solids yet) and I'm curious to see how it works for her. Hurry up and get to a meeting! I bet you will find the motivation you are looking for!!
