I hate hate hate the attitude that there can be a level of "too much boob" in public when breastfeeding. And the main reason I hate it is that I sometimes feel like I've heard every possible criticism of BFing in public. If you insist on "discretion" or "covering up" all you get is people who then feel empowered to complain about it even if it is "discreet" or covered up. Because some people are just grossed out by BFing and nothing will change that, except all BFing mothers going into little dark soundproof closets to BF their babies.

Argh. I am a "discreet" BFer in public who does not use a cover (b/c my babies hate them). But insisting on being "discreet" does nothing for BFing and just makes critics feel like they can get on BFing moms about other aspects of it.
