Could you share yours or provide links? My son will drink anything if I make it in the blender, throw in a banana and put it in his special smoothing cup.

I just made him one with goat milk, banana, almond butter, ground fax, stevia and vanilla. He gulped it down.

I make smoothies with just fruit in them. I typically use frozen fruit, plus a fresh banana and a splash of freshly squeezed orange juice. No added sugar or ice. The banana gives it a creamy kind of texture without the use of dairy products.

This morning our smoothie was a handful of baby spinach, some kale, and some good lettuce (no iceberg or anything). Then I added a banana, frozen blueberries, peaches, strawberries, mangoes, and pineapple (from a frozen fruit pack I got at Sam's Club). I added a little milk, a little water, and about a teaspoon of sugar to bring out the fruitiness. It was awesome. Just keep it about 1/3 greens, and 2/3 fruit. My 3.5 year old loves it and so does the 1 year old.

We use yogurt, bananas (fresh, but frozen work awesome for smoothies!), normally frozen berries (fresh during the season), a splash of homemade juice (our fav beet, apple and carrot combo), ground flax, greens if I have them.

The one I make the most is a bunch (3-5 cups, loosely packed) of fresh spinach, a cup of yogurt, a banana, a blob (anywhere from 1 tsp to 1 Tbsp, I'd say) of coconut oil, and a couple cups or so of frozen berries.

i generally use kefir as the base, then add frozen fruit/berries, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut oil, a package of unflavored gelatin (to help with our guts-we have food intolerance issues), small handful of leafy greens, stevia to sweeten, and depending on what i'm in the mood for i'll add cacao nibs, bananas, or juice. some of the combinations we enjoy are berry&cacao, creamsicle (oj&vanilla extract), strawberry&banana...sometimes i'll do a peanut butter smoothie & when i get it just right it'll taste like my dad's peanut butter pie.

nak - thanks everyone - I'm getting great ideas. I'm going to start adding greens and coconut oil for sure. The kefir is a good thought. DS loves it and we went through a stage of making it last summer. Keep 'em coming!
