Does Tuesday June 1st work to try again? I have family in town next week.
The 1st is already overbooked for me.

Bummer, would June 2 work for both you and Cristeen?

That I could do.

The 2nd works for us, too.

And as it turns out, the 1st wouldn't have worked, since DH took a 5 day weekend as a surprise.

Great, so June 2nd at 10am at the Castro Valley Community Center Park off of Chabot Rd.

I'm also going to post it on the AP meet-up group. I'm soooo looking forward to some adult interaction.

Yay! Wednesday June 2nd it is! I am writing it in my calendar!

BTW, writing the day and the date was really helpful this time around. We should continue doing that, cuz I kept wondering, did I miss it and they meant last week, or is it this coming week they are referring to? LOL

I had a great time! I'm sorry I can't go next week but I would love for another meetup to happen on the 15th or 16th.

We had a great time too. Rowan was asleep before the car even started moving, that was a first. We had to drive down to SJ today and now I know just how far Fremont is, and see how it is just a 20 minute drive to MV.

I'd like to plan another park day for next Wednesday the 9th, does anyone wnt to suggest a park?

I'm guessing nothing happened today. I spent the afternoon at Fairyland with another MDC momma. Had a blast. I'm always open to hosting a Fairyland trip, since it's right around the corner... we can meet up here and walk over together. If we get a large enough group, we can save on the entrance fee.

I don't have anything slated for next Wednesday, the 16th, if we'd like to schedule a playdate then. I really liked the park in Castro Valley, but I'm open to others also if anyone has a preference.

On the 15th I'm heading to the Discovery Museum with a Mama from the AP Meetup group. She's pretty nice. Her son is two weeks older than Shanna. She said that she would be open to other folks joining us if anyone wants to.

As for the 16th I'd be cool with heading back to the same park in Castro Valley. That fence was handy.

This is my first time multi-quoting. The highlight of my day!

No I ended up forgetting to schedule something. Fairyland trip sounds great! Whenever you want to set a date for it we'll be there, generally I have the car Wednesday, Thursday, Friday but we're flexible if it looks like more people would like to go on a Mon/Tuesday

Krissy, I'll have to pass on the discovery museum for next week, but would love to host another park day on the 16th.

If anyone would prefer a different park let me know and we'll change it, I know it is kind of a hike for the two of you. I'm going to go ahead and post on meet-up.com

BTW we were at CV park today and it was bumping, we had such a blast playing in the water, but after 20 minutes of water play my little bear was freezing!

16th sounds great. Don't worry about the drive. One of the realities of living in the city - it's at least 20 minutes to get just about anywhere.

rightkindofme - afraid we already have plans for Tuesday (it's canning day), but thanks for the invite.

10 am again? I need to write it on the calendar or I will space.

I just found out that a long lost friend (is that the right term?) is coming and will be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. I may have to cancel depending on when her and her family of 5 arrive. But otherwise 10am works.

Also Cristeen, I would love if you could help me with my first canning expedition this summer. We have 11 fruit trees and I would love to trade you fruit for a canning lesson if you are at all interested.

We'll definitely be there tomorrow, 10 am. Also I found a great new park in Hayward, it is the new Cannery park playground, it has a really cool water feature and brand new playground and stuff.

So in discussing it this morning, it looks like next week (6/23) we'll be doing Fairyland. We can meet at my house and walk down there (it's about 4-5 blocks). WF is right there if you want to stop and have lunch after, or there are concession stands in the park. We're glad to have company over to play if anyone has energy after Fairyland.

Park admission is $7 per person over 1 yo. Babies under 1 are free. I bring a stroller for the walk, but mostly use a sling in the park, since he wants to be able to see things, but can't walk yet. There is a puppet show at 11 and again at 2 if your littles are interested in that. Park opens at 10, so if we meet at my house between 10-10:15, we can be at the park before the first puppet show.

Anyone planning to attend, please PM me and I'll get you the address.

Does anyone know any other good fenced in toddler parks?
Hi, all-
I don't know about fenced in toddler parks, but I do know about a health food store in San Leandro and Castro Valley, if you are still interested in that. I believe there are some yoga studio in Castro Valley as well, although I have not tried it myself. Let me know if you are interested in the Health food location in Castro Valley. There is nice co-op grocery place in Alameda as well. And plenty of wonderful CSAs around here.

Also, if anyone is looking for totally awesome AP, vegetarian daycare/preschool in Fremont area, let me know.

I'm in Hayward, by the way.

Hi Moonyoungi! I hope you can make it to one of our get-togethers. I would love to get the low-down on the CSAs, and know where the health food store in San Leandro is. I'm going to check out the one in CV today. Do you know any good chiros? we met the deductible on out insurance this year, so I'm thinking I might as well use up all the chiro/acupuncture stuff.

Also I think I found another fenced in park, it is a park at Five Canyons, right off of Fairview Ave in Fairview. I've only driven by, but will stop by in the next coupld of days. I think the CV community Center is going to be insanely busy all summer long, so it would be nice to find somewhere a bit more low-key.

Does a June 30 10am meet-up work for everyone?

Also have fun in Fairyland, and I'll try to make it next time!
