Help! What supplies do I need?

I'm going to attempt to make some waterproof cloth diapers that I can stuff the absorbant layer inside. (I think it's called pocket diaper???)

Can you please list how much of what I need, and aprox. the quantity of diapers that ammount of supplies will make. I know I need PUL (took me forever to figure out what that was - so if you could write out the names of materials rather than abreviate that would be super helpful!), and it looks like I can get it in one yard increments. How many diapers can I get out of a yard?

I don't know how many diapers you could get out of a yard, maybe 4 depending on the size of diaper. You can use many things on the area of the diaper that will touch the baby. Flannel, fleece, bamboo velour, sweat shirt material, T shirt material, anything soft that liquid can go threw.

Then for the elastic I would use lastin (sp?). You can order it on the internet, Joanns has something similar, it is clear and really stretchy.

I perfer snaps and you can order a snap press for around 30$ on the internet (a hand held one) I have one and love it and have more than gotten my moneys worth as I use it for snaps on clothes, bags, diaper covers ect. You can order resin snaps ( the plastic snaps on diapers you buy off the internet are resin) on the internet as well.

Or you can get velcro but that doesn't hold up nearly as well.

And then of course pul on the outer layer. I like to stuff them with prefolds as I hate washing synthetic fibers (they hold the stink way worse)
