Name this diaper thingy (see pic)!

We're actually done with diapers at our house, but I don't feel like I can pass these on til I know how the heck they are used. They are a little over 42 inches long end to end in a stretchy, not absorbant but soft fabric that looks like terry from the outside, but isn't. I got a few of them as a gift, but ... ???We could never figure out how to use them - a diaper cover for a 10 year old? Huh?

That is a tie nappy. Here is a great link that describes how to use them. I used them with my oldest to get a good fit with her many layered night diaper. They get snug around the legs to keep things from escaping Too bad you never used them, they are a nice diaper product...and usually pricy. I was able to get mine used on ebay, but after one child the ties had all ripped and I never got around to putting on new ties.

Yup, tie nappy. I loved them but DS was such a wiggle butt he wouldn't stay still long enough to get them on.

Those look neat! I'd never seen those before, but I do have some stretch terry cloth around here that's looking to be made into something useful, and a baby due any day.
Looks like I'll be spending some quality time with my sewing machine tomorrow...
