Talk to me about breastfeeding and cholesterol levels

So DD2 weaned in Feb. Sigh...

Anyhow, I had a bunch of blood work done these last two weeks. 1) I am pre-diabetic (levels of 124 and then at 123). 2) My cholesterol levels are obscene. This is how it breaks down:

Trig - 280
LDL - 206
HDL - 66
Chol - 328

The letter from the Doctor said she wants to talk about meds for the Cholesterol (I go see her on Tuesday. My question is how does my daughter weaning recently skew the numbers? I thought I read they can be skewed when or having recenlty breastfed.

Also, my blood pressure has been very high the last couple of times I have been to the Doctor. However, I have lost 8 1/2 pounds in the last 2 1/2 weeks.

Another thing is I have been having some numbness in my toes. I don't know if that is tied to the pre-diabetes or not.

I had high cholesterol levels the last time I checked (2 years ago). It was a total surprise. When I told my naturopath, she said that she thinks nursing skews the results, so your numbers come out much higher than they normally would. I can't remember if she was referencing published research or her own experience. HTH!

Thank you. I wish it were Tuesday. I want to get this Doctor appointment taken care of and my questions answered.
