Arms Reach Cosleeper?

We are already co-sleepers and our bed is too full for a newborn! We also have a small bedroom. I am thinking of getting an Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper. Has anyone tried one? Only thing is it is for beds 24" tall and our bed is 27" tall. I am open to other ideas as well.

We used one with DD and really liked it. The full size one would have been too large - as it was, it was a little hard getting out of bed with the mini size. We'll use it again this time with DS coming, but I want to get an extra sheet for it, since it takes a special sheet, and only comes with one.

Personally I didn't feel that the Arms Reach was any better than a regular Pack N Play. It was not useful to us. A Pack N Play or bassinet pushed up to the bed would give you a similar setup at a cheaper price. My ds wouldn't sleep in his at all so I used it to store the diapers, clothes, burp clothes, etc. Since the cosleeper is a drop from the bed, it wasn't useful for breastfeeding or anything. I had to get up, pick him up, feed him, put him back in.

we like ours. since we only have one babe, we will often just share the bed, but the mini convertible really did the job for us, and now since we moved, it is a freestanding bassinette for naps.

i got mine at lullaby lane, and they sell the leg adapters for taller beds as well. they sell online, so you can get the adapters from them, too!

We used one with our daughter. We also have a high bed and purchased the leg adapters and it brought it up to mattress level. I didn't have to reach down and get her at all.

I didn't like using the pack and play when she was a newborn and she co-slept with us for the first 9 weeks, then the co-sleeper, and then the pack and play when she grew too long for the co-sleeper.

We have the full size co-sleeper and a king size bed; I don't have any trouble getting out of bed, but I got rid of our night tables so I could push it all the way to the head of the bed. A pack n play would work similiarly, but they tend to have much lower weight limits, that's why I chose thed arm's reach.

Don't buy one new if you can help it; look on Craigs List! got ours for like $75. It had only been used for 6 months by a mom of twins.

Now DS started rolling around 3 months and I took out the bassinet and use it in pack-n-play mode next to our bed. Not quite as convenient for night time nursing, but our top mattress shifts alot and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it in bassinet mode. (granted, if he was waking every 2 hours to nurse, I would just keep him in bed, but he wakes once at most at night, and sometimes not that, and is 4.5 months old)

I personally love ours and will defo hang on to it for whenever the next one comes. I don't know about the mini but a lot of my friends with bassinets just use king sized pillowcases as sheets. for the full size, I bought regular pack-n-play sheets. The quilted ones are nice as they give extra cushion.

I just ordered one online for 127 with free shipping. I was quite amazed. I did a lot of comparison shopping and I think I got it at Amby Baby or something I had never heard of before.
I thought that was insanely cheap and wonderful. You CAN order the thingies that make it a little higher if you want. We actually didn't put the wheels on and that mae it perfect for our lower Ikea bed.
This third baby has yet to come out and we are in a new house/new bedroom this time. With my other two I did have a small pack-n-pay with a raised surface for when they are infants. It did work pretty well but when I compare the price I paid for that one (just over 100) the co-sleeper does have some neat features and honestly looks better (and I don't ususually care about that sort of thing!)
I do like the size.....perfect for my terrible small room and small bed incase the 2yr old comes over in the middle of the night!

There are cups for the feet that are available. It will lift it to the height of your bed.

We have a full size Co-Sleeper but moved my son into our bed as he sleeps much more soundly next to me, being an 'Arm's Reach' away was just too far for him

As akind1 just mentioned, the quilted sheet, we purchased one also, as well as a velour sheet to go over it. Some people actually replace the mattress with one a bit softer (still firm of course though).

We have a co-sleeper mini and we bought the extenders for it too. LOVE IT. We started out with a bassinet but found that Katie liked to be able to see us instead of being in her bassinet. With the arms reach I could still touch her and she could look over and see me right next to her. We got rid of the bassinet and just used the mini until she was about 5 months old.
