Im not sure how often I should be doing this? Sometimes I do it everyday, sometimes I don't wash it at all for several days and just keep filling it up with fresh water.

Honestly I don't wash ours very often. They do get rinsed out most days before I refill them.

Not often enough. I always rinse them every day but I don't think I even know how often they actually get washed - kinda gross actually.

Every couple of days. I have a drooler

Not as often as it should probably. We have one of those bowls that has a jug of water attached so the bowl is always full of water.

once a day, in the morning when i fill it with fresh water. she eats raw and doesnt even really drink water, so if it did it every few days it probably wouldnt matter, but at the same time, bc she eats raw i wash the bowl daily jic she actually took a sip.

Not very often, but y'know my dogs are not the most fastidious creatures digging around in the dirt eating who knows what! When I start to notice it's getting really gross I'll do it, but definitely not every day.

At least every other day.

Ah ok, so It's not like they might get sick from worms or something if it isn't washed regularly then? I was a little worried in case of that.

I think mine are much more likely to get worms from something they eat in the yard!

Funny you should ask....I washed out their food bowls just yesterday, had soaked and scrubbed, and soaked and scrubbed their metal bowls, and they still felt slimy. Dont think i do this very often, but will start doing it more often.

they have a ceramic water bowl they drink out of, that gets washed frequently.

I rinse it and refill it several times a day ( I have a spoiled dog who has to have fresh water). I don't wash it very often . With rinsing it so often it doesn't need washed that often, but sometimes I throw his dishes threw the dishwasher.

I wash ours every day. just with all our dinner dishes. easy habit to do.

also, I think many do not know that flouride is toxic to dogs. soooo if you live in a place that adds flouride to your water- your dogs should be getting bottled water.

I'm not giving my dogs bottled water! I love 'em, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. Our oldest dog died 2 yrs ago at 16.5 so I don't think drinking tap water shortened his life span by much.

YMMV, though, and folks can certainly do what they feel is best on this.

Our girl HAS to have fresh water or she won't drink it so it gets rinsed and refilled at least once a day. I should probably wash her food dish more often though.

oh gosh, rarely if ever. I should remember to do this more often. I rinse it when refilling though.

Well I always give it a good rinse when I'm refilling it. But I'd say I actually wash it with soap/water every week or so? Same with food bowl.

I wash them once a day when I do the dinner dishes. I guess if we eat out I don't do it since I'm not cleaning the kitchen.

I have neat freak tendencies so it's not like what I do for most stuff is normal.

Every 2-3 days.
