I have a Kirkmans probiotic that is still in my fridge from over a year ago. I originally tried it on my son when he was a couple of months old but stopped when he got gas. After doing some research I found that is normal and his body is detoxing, just needed to work up to 1/2 capsule dose and not all at once.
SO...this time around my poor guy (who is now 18 mo old) is on antibx now for VUR and has the beginnings of a yeast infection. I am searching around for the best probiotic for him but in the meantime was wondering if I could use the old stuff until I can get a new one.
Would this be safe? (Can it cause mold in the body?)
Thanks,
Kristen
