Recently my dd (10 months) came down with an ear infection. We took her to the doc and the doc said it was a very bad infection, gave her a shot of antibiotics and put her on a round of antibiotics. The infection cleared up but not 2 weeks later she got a runny nose that very quickly turned into bronchitis. Again doc gave her a shot of antibiotics and prescribed a round of antibiotics. Now maybe 3 weeks later (if that) she's sick again with another cold that I think is wanting to turn into bronchitis. (she has had a bark type cough every now and then).
I'm begining to think that it was the antibiotics from the ear infection that left her susceptible to the first round of bronchitis and possibly the antibiotics that left her susceptible to this current cold. She's breast fed and doesn't go out much she shouldn't be getting as sick as she has been something isn't quite right here.
Can I give her probiotic's to help? And are there any herbs or anything I can give her that will help? I looked up herbs on the web and found some that will help but I'm unsure of dosages. I REALLY don't want to take her back to the ped. since I think he is the reason she continues to get sick but I will if it gets worse and meanwhile I'm going to look into finding a homeopath.
