MY honey basically truly has mountain dew mouth. It started when he was a teen because his dad never took him back to get his braces off, so they were on for 2 extra years, no dental care whatsoever. And of course he was drinking Mountain Dew and continued until about 6 months ago I helped him wean onto tea with stevia and lemon, we're working on it
So, his teeth are awful, some broken, some rotted away, some extracted on an emergency basis. He is *terrified* of needles, to the point of fainting on sight. He had a bad Dr. experience at 4. We are living on $1300 a month for the 4 of us, so we may qualify for a clinic of some sort, but it wouldn't be ideal care, much less set up for phobias.
We are moving right now, but once we are settled, we will be going back to GAPS diet which is WAP friendly, just grain & dairy free, as well as most starches. This is for me, but he is doing it to be supportive.
He doesn't want to do any dental work until he can be knocked out, including a cleaning, he is afraid it will hurt and he won't be able to tolerate it.
SO I see that doing the x-factor butter oil and cod liver oil is a high priority, I can at least make top quality ghee at home and cod liver oil. Besides diet, any suggestions?
I'm just afraid he will lose his whole mouth before we can afford to get work done.
I went through that with someone else and it was horrible, and he only wears his 'teeth' when he has company.
