Does anyone do this/know anything about it?

I do water-only 99% of the time and use BS/ACV about once or twice a month when it feels greasy. I tend to get oily at the roots and dry, flyaway ends. The BS/ACV works a little bit in terms of making my hair feel clean, but the roots still fall flat and the ends are either still dry or weighed down.

I bought some bentonite clay (by mistake) for something else, and thought maybe I'd try it on just my roots to absorb the oil, but I'm not sure how to do it. Is it better to make a paste/mix it with something else, or just put the dry clay powder right on my roots while my hair is dry and then wash it out? Or some other way? Or is it too hard on hair and I shouldn't do it at all?
