Neighbor issue. Do I MYOB? - Page 2

Thats hilarious. If anything, next time I spoke with the wife, I would very jokingly bring it up to her and make complete fun of him. But Im a stinker like that.

Yes. MYOB.

When people get divorced, they often act like idiots. It's not fun to watch or be involved in.

Ignore MYOB.

Is it unusual where you are for men to go shirtless? Here it is a fact of life in the hot weather and the only time some guys put a shirt on is walking up to the front of a store.

I think it's just unusual for a guy to wait specifically for an audience of women to go shirtless, and the flex his muscles at them where the OP is.

Since I'm guessing she's not living in a high school, then it probably is unusual. Most grown men know that such displays are ineffective most of the time.

Amy, your soon to be single neighbor is just hilarious. Flexing for the 'mommy club' The poor kid has no clue. MYOB and enjoy the comedy show if you must. It looks like the house may be turning over sooner than the anticipated 5-7 years huh?

And as I told his wife when she called me last week- there are 2 sides to every story and in the middle is the truth. I read that here, no doubt from your post!

When he talked to me that one day, his version of the story was like he was describing Tokyo. Her version was like she was describing London..make sense?? Too totally different cities on two different parts of the planet.

They need to just cut their losses and move on to bigger and better things.

IME, I have talked to 4 couples now in this type of situation and the ones who have 2 very very different stories just need to divorce and move on. The ones where the story is about 10-20% different can work out differences and heal and maybe live happily ever after together. With some work of course!
Honestly, it took me a momment to get the reference to Switzerland.

I also think it is hilarious.

I am having a hard time MYOB with our neighbors. Really nice couple but the DH is/was lazy.

The now ex wife did all the yardwork and exterior maintenace, worked really long hours, walked the dogs and so on. He did nothing. It was an issue, she was vocal about it.

Now that she is gone, the walks went unshovelled in the winter, he drags himself outside to mow the grass and it looks like he is ready to fall over from the effort. (Late 20s and in good shape, plays in sports leagues and such, he has no physcial problems)

I will need to bite my tongue next time I see her as I would love to tell her how it is obvious to all the neighbors that all her former chores are kicking his butt.

nope dont live in a high school. And yes, my DH also stated such displays are very ineffective. And yes, its extremely unusual here in Middle America Suburbia for people to walk around with it all showing.

Also, one of the conversations during our Momtinis/ parade of the abs that was brought up- Men who usually let it all show like this, dont usually have much else to offer in that um department. And then we talked of such experiences....
