Midcycle spotting- updated w/ MW advice and a ?

So, I'm just about to tear my hair about about this and am hoping someone's got some advice.

Background- I'm nursing a one year old. On my 4/5th pp cycle. Cycle returned in December. Prior to that, had no spotting. Just, one day, AF showed up.

Now, I spot ALL the time. Like, last cycle- I spotted or had AF 15/28 days. This cycle, I'm on CD15 and I've had spotting or AF for 9 CDs.

The spotting isn't always the same, sometimes it is brown, sometimes pink, sometimes red. Some days, more than others, but I only mark it on my chart and count it as spotting if it is enough that I need to wear a liner.

I have endo, but I never spotted like this pre-DD.

Charts have been mostly anov looking, but my temping is way less than optimal, so I'm not sure if I'm just not seeing it... and I'm not sure it makes a difference. I DO get AF, where my flow increases to need cup/tampon.

At first, I sort of thought it was just my cycle trying to come back pp, kwim? But, it has been literally FOUR MONTHS of spotting. I didn't spot like this after my ODS was born. It just doesn't seem "normal" to me and I'm rather fed up :P

Any insight?
Just my cycles returning pp STILL or do I need to call my MW about this?
Any remedies? I've tried RRL, but it didn't seem to help... maybe I need to give it more time?

ETA: this might be a really silly questions, but what causes midcycle spotting? Like, I know LP spotting can be a sign of low progest and I know about O spotting, but what makes one spot apart from those?

Ok, this is totally just a theory here, but I had the same problem when I was on the patch - they called it breakthrough bleeding (which I think was stupid, since it was a really high amount of hormones, and with breakthrough bleeding they say you need to raise the level of hormones to stop it... ) Anyway. My theory is that your nursing is trying to keep AF away, but your body really wants to have it's fertility come back and you're having hormone shifts back and forth that are causing the bleeding, kind of like when your temp/progesterone drops at the end of your cycle, and AF starts, except yours is going up and down, know what I mean?

Totally a theory though, not sure how accurate that could be.

Thanks, kalamos23 for your thoughts. That's kind of how it feels to me, too- the hormone fluctuations are causing my body to not quite be able to bring back AF, but not quite keep it away, either.

I ended up calling my MW bc I've been spotting SO MUCH this week and I've just had it . Knowing we're ttc, she suggested I do a Provera challenge to see if that would sort things out- basically, to see if the spotting is my AF trying to come back or is r/t my endo. So, I'm going to think on that, bc I'm waiting (and waiting and waiting... ) to O this month and I don't want to induce AF if there's a chance to be pg this month, kwim?

Question to anyone- if I'm spotting all the time, does that mean I won't get pg even if I DO end up O'ing?
