Lower omega 3 and DHA dose close to delivery?

This is probably a stupid question, but I take a lot of omega 3's and DHA (well, what is recommended on the prenatal bottle, but it's a lot higher than mainstream medicine recommends). I've heard a lot of omega 3's and dha can cause excessive bleeding. I bled a bunch with my first child and I'm wondering if I should cut down or eliminate my dose until I deliver (the next week or so).

Thanks!

My friend just mentioned to me the other day that I should stop taking DHA/omegas/fish oil a couple of weeks before I'm due. Supposedly, they thin the blood and can increase bleeding (sorry, I don't have any evidence or resources).

Something I will definitely look into and ask my midwife.
